It's Co$ting More To Pay Workers In America

The cost of compensating employees across the nation is up... but not quite at much as analyists originally predicted.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics says the employment cost index for the second quarter is up six-tenths of a percent.

That's a tenth-of-a-percent less than the forecast ahead of today's release.

The employment cost index measures total employment compensation, including wages and salaries, as well as benefits.
