Three members of the University of Miami football team are on the watch list for a couple of important postseason honors.
It was announced on Monday that Hurricanes safety Jaquan Johnson and cornerback Michael Jackson are nominated for the Jim Thorpe Award, which is given each year to the best defensive back in football.
And Miami linebacker Shaq Quarterman is up for the prize that recognizes his position, the Butkus Award.
