FL Senator Hands Brings Cheer To Children In Homestead Shelter

A Florida state senator is hoping to bring a little cheer to the illegal immigrant kids being housed at a temporary shelter in Homestead.

Annette Taddeo brought toys with her during her tour of the facility on Friday morning. Taddeo handed the toys out to the children.

The gifts were collected during the March to Keep Families Together that took place in June.

Taddeo is a Democratic politician who has served as a member of the Florida Senate, elected in 2017.

She represents the 40th district, encompassing Kendall and surrounding areas in southern Miami-Dade County
