South Miami Mayor Looks To Clear His Name After Possible Violation

South Miami's mayor is vowing to fight to clear his name after the County Ethics Commission ruled that he likely violated a resident's "right to be heard."

During two recent commission meetings, Philip Stoddard cut off a man who tried to talk about the firing of South Miami's police chief.

Stoddard claims he followed the advice of the city attorney and ordered the speaker register as a lobbyist.

The ethics commission can now conduct a full investigation.
