When Will Toxic Algae Disappear From Florida Waterways?

How soon with the toxic blue-green algae disappear from Southwest Florida waterways?

Well, that's likely going to depend on how much rain Florida gets.

A forum was held Tuesday night in Cape Coral for residents to get answers about the algae that won't seem to go away.

One panelist said there's no way of knowing how long it will take for the algae to disappear, but he says more rain will definitely help.

Other panelists told the crowd that recently-revived releases from Lake Okeechobee aren't helping.
