Florida's Democratic Candidates For Gov. To Debate Wednesday Night

Florida's Democratic candidates for governor will all participate in a Wednesday debate.

The debate, scheduled to take place at Florida Gulf Coast University, will include all four established candidates (U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine and Orlando-area businessman Chris King), plus a newcomer: billionaire developer Jeff Greene.

Greene, a Palm Beach resident, has already spent $10 million in ads, mostly his own money. He now hopes to shake up the race even more during the live exchange with former Graham, Gillum, Levine and King.

The primary election will take place on Aug. 28.

The winner of that will face the Republican nominee in November. The Republican candidates are Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam and U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis.

Term-limited Republican Gov. Rick Scott is challenging Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson.
