Ford To Pay $299M To Settle Faulty Airbag Suit

Ford Motor Company has agreed to pay out $299-million to settle federal lawsuits over faulty Takata airbags.

The automaker agreed to the settlement, which was filed in federal court in Miami on Monday.

The money will be used to reimburse Ford drivers for their expenses waiting for fixes to their cars and for loaner vehicles for cars that can't be driven until the airbags are replaced.

Toyota, BMW, Mazda, Subaru, and Nissan have all previously reached settlements over the airbags.
