Watch Out: There Are Extra Cops In Florida Roads This Week

Starting now, you might want to think twice before pushing the pedal to the medal.

Starting today (Monday), cops and officials across the states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina are putting extra officers on local streets, major roads, and interstates.

The move is part of Operation Southern Shield -- a special effort to catch speeding drivers on the road.

The extra-officer initiative runs now through Sunday.
