Sen. Nelson In Orlando To Discuss Trade War Impacts On Florida

Florida's U.S. Senator Bill Nelson is visiting Orlando today to discuss the impact of the trade war between the U.S. and its allies on local businesses.

The Florida Democrat plans to tour the Correct Craft boat factory and meet with company executives.

The Trump Administration's new tariffs on steel and aluminum have been met with retaliatory tariffs on goods manufactured in the U.S. by countries like Canada, Mexico, and the E.U.

According to a news release from Nelson's office, Correct Craft CEO Bill Yeargin says the trade war could force companies like his to raise prices on consumers and possibly lay off workers.
