Medical Marijuana Businesses Could Be Suspended Due To Missed Inspection

Half of the Florida businesses that have been allowed to sell medical marijuana could be suspended because of missing an inspection deadline.

State law requires all medical marijuana businesses to pass a third-party food safety inspection within their first year of operation.

However,  many have either ignored, or not noticed, the deadline because edible forms of marijuana are still not allowed in Florida.

State officials say they intend to enforce the deadline.
