Florida Nurses Are Protesting HCA, Demanding New Hires

When you go to the hospital, you rely on its experiences nurses to provide you with reliable, appropriate, and necessary care... but the key caretakers at a handful of Florida's  Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) facilities are currently out of the office and, instead, walking the picket line.

The group of nurses is telling the public that they're understaffed because nurses are leaving and HCA is not hiring replacements. 

The protesters' goal is to improve the recruitment and retention of experienced registered nurses within Florida hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Protests are taking place across the Sunshine State -- in Sarasota, Bradenton, Brooksville, St. Petersburg, and Kissimmee.
