SoFla Man Stabbed Brother To Death On 4th Of July, Police Said

Fort Lauderdale police are on the hunt for a man who they believe stabbed his brother to death on the Fourth of July.

According to police, 41-year-old Cori Butler and his brother, Travis Butler, 39, got into an argument around 8 p.m. on the fourth outside their cousin's home in the 2500 block of Northwest 28th Terrace.

Travis Butler allegedly tried to walk away from the disagreement, but Cori Butler followed him inside the home. At some point, Cori Butler grabbed a knife and fatally stabbed his younger brother in the neck, authorities said.

Cori Butler allegedlt fled the scene. When paramedics arrived, they pronounced Travis Butler dead.

Anyone with information about Cori Butler's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
