Massive Soccer Village, Facility In The Works For Miami

Miami businessman Jorge Mas is looking to build a massive soccer facility in South Florida.

Plans for the village, which they're calling Miami Freedom Park, will feature 110 acres of permanent green space and 23 acres of youth soccer fields to be open to the public.

Mas says Miami Freedom Park will not use any taxpayer money and will be funded by private donors.

It is believed the park will bring in $40 million of tax revenue each year, and should create over 11,000 local jobs over the next three years.

Soccer star David Beckham is working with Mas to bring an MLS team to South Florida, with their expected debut to be in the 2020 season.
