Mortgage applications are down and refinancing is the lowest it has been in 20 years!
The Mortgage Bankers Association reports total applications were off by half-a-percent last week.
Applications to refinance existing loans fell 2 percent. The national average for a 30-year-fixed rate mortgage is down five basis points, to 4.79 percent.
Applications for loans to buy homes rose 1 percent last week.
