Cruise Ship Employee Rescued By Another Ship After Going Overboard

A man who went overboard from a cruise ship near Cuba is in stable condition Monday morning after being rescued by another cruise ship over the weekend.

The 33-year-old man is a crew member for the Norwegian Getaway. He was reported to have fallen overboard shortly after 3 p.m. on Saturday.

He spent 22 hours in the water before being found around 1 p.m. on Sunday by a Miami-based Carnival cruise ship. The staff and rescue crews from that Carnival ship helped to pull the man from the water.

There are reports that the crew member did not fall overboard but jumped, however, that has yet to be confirmed.
