Keys Man Arrested For Video Taping Men Using Bathroom At Walgreens

A Florida Keys man is facing charges after police say he hid a video camera in the men's bathroom at his job.

Big Pine Key resident Ray Gallegos, 32, was arrested Wednesday and charged with video voyeurism, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 15 years of prison upon conviction.

Authorities say Gallegos admitted to planting a video camera in the restroom at a Walgreens located at 30351 Overseas Hwy., sometime in August 2017 so he could watch men.

The camera was only just uncovered this week, though Gallegos said he only started watching video from the camera two days ago and never distributed the video to anyone

Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff's Officer and Homeland Security agents together on Wednesday searched Gallegos' home, where they said they found pictures and videos depicting a bathroom stall later identified as the one located in the pharmacy at the Big Pine Walgreens.

Gallegos said he was inspired to install the camera by a man he'd never met known only as "Jason." They only communicated by text messaging.
