Amid World Cup fever, the backers of Miami's long-delayed MLS team finally have an announcement to make. Jorge Mas tweeted Tuesday night that he will soon reveal what he called a "transformational world class park, soccer village, and tech hub." Mas, who is working with David Beckham, said Miami's only public golf course would become, quote, "a global symbol of the cultural mosaic that is our great city."
The plans will be unveiled to the city commission on July 12th, in time to put the issue on the ballot for voters this November.
