We may not get a chance to hear confessed Stoneman Douglas shooter Nikolas Cruz's full confession. His attorneys filing an emergency motion asking a Broward County judge to block the release of parts of the statement he made to police following his arrest.
The defense lawyers say they don’t want Cruz’s interview with Broward Detective John Curcio released because “publication of certain portions of the statement will cause significant trauma to an already beleaguered community, impede the defendant’s constitutional right against self-incrimination, as well as his right to a fair and impartial trial.”
