A Pompano Beach restaurant is closed until further notice after a gas explosion in the kitchen.
Fire rescue officials say just before 8:00 this morning a Saveur Tropical Restaurant employee had trouble lighting the stove.
While she was working on it gas filled the area.
Detectives say once the stove did light, an explosion occurred.It blew out the windows.
The employee suffered burns to her face and lower body and was rushed to the hospital.
Pompano Beach structural inspectors have already searched the building and determined it's unsafe, and owners must have it repaired before the restaurant can reopen.
