The sister of Miami Gardens' mayor is in a Broward County jail without bond after she's accused of trying to kill her ex-husband.
Lisa Lorraine Gilbert is charged with premeditated attempted murder.
Investigators say Gilbert tried to shoot her ex Saturday night in Miramar.
An arrest report says she used her daughter to get access to her ex-husband, held a gun to his head and pulled the trigger.
The bullet grazed his ear.
Mayor Gilbert released a statement saying his family is focused on his sister, niece and brother-in-law, and will handle the matter as a family.
