Authorities with the Miami Police Department say one of their own was injured in an early-Wednesday morning crash.
The accident happened along Southwest Second Street and Southwest 17th Avenue around 3:30 a.m.
According to Miami police, the officer was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center with a possible broken arm. A civilian was also transported to Ryder Trauma, with minor injuries.
The officer's cruiser had severe front-end damage, according to officials.
It's unclear what led up to the crash.
No other information was immediately available.
