Florida Crime Rate Reaches 47-Year Low!

Here's some great news -- the crime rate in the Sunshine State is on the decline.

More than 600,000 crimes were committed in Florida last year, but that is actually an improvement.

Governor Rick Scott announced on Tuesday that the state's crime rate went down by six percent, reaching a 47-year low!

Out of seven different categories of crime, the only one that increased was rape.

Almost 8,000 sexual assaults were reported in Florida, an increase of almost five percent.
