Accused FLL Shooter Will Reportedly Enter Plea Deal On Wednesday

An Alaska man accused of the deadly shooting at Fort Lauderdale airport last January is reportedly entering a plea deal.

"The New York Times" says Esteban Santiago would plead guilty to eleven counts related to violence, and prosecutors would drop eleven other counts filed in an indictment.

Court documents state that Santiago would serve five-consecutive life sentences and an additional 120-years in prison for the shooting rampage last January that killed five people.

A hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, but it's unclear if the plea will be entered at that time.

Officials say Santiago boarded a flight from Anchorage to Fort Lauderdale, then picked up checked baggage, loaded a gun in the bathroom and opened fire in a terminal.
