9 Dead After Shooting At Texas Santa Fe High School

NBC News is now reporting that 9 people are dead following a shooting at a Texas Gulf Coast high school. The Harris County Sheriff's Office previously confirmed multiple casualties.

The sheriff's office tweeted they're working a "multiple-casualty incident" at Santa Fe High.  

The suspect is in custody.

Police have confirmed that there is an active shooter at Texas’ Santa Fe High School.

The district is on lockdown.

Santa Fe is a city of about 13,000 people roughly 30 miles southeast of Houston.

Heavily armed officers are outside Santa Fe High School following this morning's shooting.  

Police are leading students out of the school. Multiple ambulances are at the school too although there aren't any reports of injuries.
