Brevard Schools Supt. To Step Down, Could Impact MSD Commission

The resignation of the Brevard County schools superintendent could leave an empty chair on the state's Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Commission.  

Desmond Blackburn announced on Monday that he is stepping down to become CEO of a nonprofit education group.  But he says he'd like to continue as a commission member.  

Blackburn was the only school superintendent on the panel. Other members of the commission include:
