SW Florida Grocery Store Opens For The First Time Since Irma

A Naples supermarket is finally reopening this week, eight months after being heavily damaged by Hurricane Irma.

The "Naples Daily News" reports the Winn-Dixie supermarket on Collier Boulevard at Vanderbilt Beach Road will have a new look when it opens its doors on Wednesday -- the first time since the storm.

Parent company Southeastern Grocers took the opportunity to remodel the store.

It was closed after Irma's winds blew out its front windows, which in turn broke fire sprinklers that soaked the Winn-Dixie's interior and inventory for up to three days.
