FLL Shooter Found Mentally Competent - Will Plead Guilty

The man accused of the January Mass shooting at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport has been found mentally competent and will go on trial...

Court Documents show that 28-year-old Esteban Santiago is expected to plead "Guilty" as prosecutors will not be seeking the death penalty.

Santiago previously pleaded not guilty to 22 federal charges in connection to the massacre that claimed the lives of five people and injured several others.

His trial is set for May 23rd in Miami. If convicted, he faces life in prison.
