Boca Raton's new mayor is officially being sworn-in today. Deputy Mayor Scott Singer fills the vacancy created by Governor Rick Scott's suspension of former Mayor Susan Haynie following her arrest on public corruption charges.
Singer will serve until a special election in August to elect a new mayor and fill his vacant City Council seat. Singer had qualified to run for mayor prior to Haynie's arrest.
