Despite obstacles including Hurricane Irma and the Zika virus, Miami tourism is coming off an above-average year.
The 2017 figures were released yesterday at the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors' Bureau's annual State of the Tourism Industry meeting.
Miami had just under 16-million visitors last year, an increase of one-percent, and they spent a record 26-billion dollars. And hotel occupancy was up one-point-five percent over the year before.
