Police: 3-Year-Old Dies After Being Found Unresponsive In Lauderhill Pool

Authorities say a 3-year-old girl is dead after being found unresponsive in a Lauderhill apartment complex's swimming pool over the weekend.

Lauderhill Police say they received a call at around 5:30 p.m. Sunday alerting them that the victim had been found floating, not breathing, and unresponsive in the community pool located along the 3200 block of Inverrary Boulevard

Investigators said the toddler was swimming in the pool with other children while adults were present. At some point during that time, another child spotted the victim floating in the water.

After arriving on the scene, paramedics immediately began administering CPR on the child.

Crews then transported the girl to Plantation General Hospital in extremely critical condition.

Just after 10 p.m., Sunday police confirmed she had died.

Police continue to investigate. They have not released the young victims’s name.
