Florida Governor Rick Scott will be in Ocala this Wednesday to recognize the heroes of last Friday's school shooting.
Scott's office says the governor will present medals to the staff and law enforcement at Forest High School who were able to intervene and successfully keep students safe.
The ceremony will take place at the Marion County Emergency Operations Center.
During the incident, one student sustained a non-life-threatening injury before the gunman was taken into custody.
