More than 1,500 volunteers from Miami-based Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. will travel to Little Haiti’s Jesse J. McCrary, Jr. Elementary School this Saturday to breathe new life into the nearly 100 year-old school.
The project is part of the company’s annual "G.I.V.E. Day" initiative.
Part of a commitment to Miami-Dade Public Schools, Jesse J. McCrary will receive $1 million worth of improvements, including:
- Repainting the school
- Building an Urban Canopy by planting 300+ trees
- Combating noise traveling and CO2 emissions
- Repainting of school murals
Royal Caribbean’s G.I.V.E program encourages its employees to carry out charitable missions in the communities where the company operates all over the world.
Please see the media alert below for more information and let me know if you’d be interested in speaking with Richard at the event as I’d be happy to coordinate a conversation.
