FDLE Receives $1M Grant From USDOJ To Offset MSD Massacre Prices

A grant will help local and state law enforcement agencies to pay for the first responders at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in February.

Following the Valentine's Day tragedy, it has cost millions of dollars for the city of Parkland, Broward County, and the state of Florida to secure crime scenes and operate command centers.

Reported Tuesday by the Associated Press, a $1 million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement will be used to pay salary and overtime expenses.
