Beyoncé, Google Team Up For Scholarship Program Benefiting HBCUs

Beyoncé's recent $100,000 donation to historically black colleges and universities, including Daytona Beach's Bethune-Cookman University, is inspiring a matching donation from Google.

The company is giving $25,000 each to

  • Morehouse College
  • Texas Southern University
  • Fisk University
  • Grambling State University

Beyoncé's original donation was part of her "BeyGOOD" initiative, which helps sick children, the unemployed, and the homeless.

Additionally, one winner from each school will receive $25,000 for the 2018-2019 academic year for study in various fields.

This is the second year for a scholars program created by Beyoncé.
