Gas Is Up This Week, And Syria Missel Strike Could Send It Even Higher

Gas prices are up slightly throughout South Florida for the beginning of the week.

The cost per gallon of regular fuel is up nearly one cent this week to $2.68, which is slightly below the national average of $2.71 that is up over five cents from the week before.

Triple A officials says motorists could expect up to a 15 cent increase at the pump in the short term. Prices have the potential of rising even more, depending on how the crude market responds to the latest news of a U.S. missile strike in Syria over the weekend, AAA authorities added.

In Miami-Dade, the lowest cost for gallon of gas is $2.53 at the U-Gas station in Medley.

In Broward, the Rocket Fuel station in Davie is your cheapest option in Broward at $2.49.
