MSD Hero Victim Gets Special, Military Honor In Native Brooklyn

A teenager hero killed in the Valentine's massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland is being honored up north Wednesday afternoon.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams will join the parents of murdered NYPD Detective Wenjian Liu in presenting a posthumous "Hero of the Month" award to Peter Wang.

The Brooklyn-born 15-year-old was shot to death holding a classroom door open for classmates running from the shooter.

Wang and his family moved to Parkland a year-and-a-half ago so he could join the Junior ROTC at the school.
