Officials responded to the Florida Mall in Orlando on Sunday afternoon after they say fireworks were set off.
According to local police, the fireworks were set off inside the mall as part of a distraction plan during a theft at a jewelry store.
Fire rescue officials in Orange County said five people were taken to the hospital and six others were treated at the mall.
Officials said the injuries were from those trying to flee the scene.
