Disney Bus Driver Accused Of Trying To Meet Teen Girls For Sex

Authorities say a Disney bus driver was arrested last week after driving to Polk County to meet a person he thought was a 15-year-old girl — but was actually a sheriff’s deputy.

Kevin Van Orman, 35, of South Daytona told deputies, “I came to meet a 15-year-old girl. One thing I never should have [expletive] done. I lost my wife, my house, my kids, my truck,” according to an arrest affidavit.

Van Orman has been charged with:

  • Attempted lewd battery
  • Traveling to lure a child
  • Using a computer to solicit or lure a child

He was released from jail on $7,000 bail after his March 25th arrest.

Records show Van Orman was talking to two separate undercover deputies via the Whisper phone app.

“I’m only 15 tho…. Just so u know,” one of the deputies wrote to Van Orman.

“That’s ok,” Van Orman replied, then offered to come over. “...We can cuddle watch tv and whatever else you would like I can even massage you.”

The affidavit says Van Orman drove to the Polk County address the undercover deputy gave him, found the front door locked and drove away. He returned later with two condoms in his pocket and walked up to the front door, where deputies arrested him.

A Disney spokeswoman said Van Orman is on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the criminal charges.
