Coast Guard Searching For Man Missing Out Of Everglades National Park

Authorities are searching for a missing Illinois man who was reported to never have returned home from a 10-day kayaking trip in Everglades National Park.

The U.S. Coast Guard said 57-year-old James Soltis, 57 was reported missing on Monday by his daughter.

Soltis departed from the Flamingo Visitors Center on March 15 and was expected back Sunday.

National Park Service rangers and a Coast Guard helicopter crew were searching for Soltis.

At last check, no discoveries have been made at this time.
