One Dead, Four Teens Injured In Florida Wrong-Way Crash

The Florida Highway Patrol says a woman is dead following a head-on crash in Florida's Gulf Coast.

Authorities say 26-year-old Ambreuna Brown veered into the wrong lane, hitting a car carrying four teenagers in St. Petersberg.

In a news release, troopers said alcohol was a factor in the Sunday night crash. They said Brown struck a car driven by 18-year-old Ryan Matthews.

Troopers said Brown was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where she died.

Matthews and his passengers — 16-year-old Vivian Antenucci, 17-year-old Shelly Melendez Matos and 17-year-old Jacob Hutfilz — were all taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

No further details were immediately available.
