ACLU Wants To Stop Agents From Searching Greyhound Busses

Immigrant rights attorneys are urging a nationwide bus company to stop letting federal agents on board to conduct what they call "immigration sweeps."

The American Civil Liberties Union Foundations of California sent a letter Wednesday to officials for the Greyhound bus company asking them to deny agents permission to board without a warrant or on the U.S. border.

Lawyers say agents have been boarding buses to check the immigration status of travelers in states spanning from California to Florida to Vermont.
