Fort Lauderdale is officially under new leadership.
Commissioner Dean Trantalis was sworn-in Tuesday as the city's newest Mayor.
Trantalis comes into office to replace Jack Seiler, who has reached his maximum term limit.
Trantalis is now the city's first openly gay mayor.
Steve Glassman and Ben Sorensen have also taken their place on the dais as commissioners.
One of the first things the trio plans to do is begin eliminating plans for The Wave streetcar project.
