Firms That Worked On FIU Bridge Sited In The Past

The companies responsible for building the now collapsed bridge at FIU have faced questions about their past work. One has been sued for alleged substandard work. The lawsuit filed earlier this month. Miami based MCM is a family owned business with a long history of working on large government contracts, and it's been sited for 11 safety violations, three of them called serious. Theys secured a partnership with FIGG Engineering who designed the structure. They were fined back in 2012 after a 90 ton section of bridge they were building in Virginia crashed onto railroad tracks hurting four workers. For more click here
