Firefighters who responded to a house fire in Fort Lauderdale Friday were able to rescue two children from the building in the 1500 block of Southwest 38th Avenue.
Police were first on scene but couldn't get inside of the home because of the heavy smoke and flames.
Both children were rushed to the hospital.
Authorities say one of the child victims has life-threatening injuries, the other has minor injuries.
No word on what started the fire nor whether any adults were inside the home.
