Two Fighter Pilots Are Dead Following Crash In Key West

The U.S. Navy says two crew members have died after ejecting from their F/A-18 fighter jet before it crashed off the coast of the Florida Keys.  

Rescuers recovered the two in the waters off Key West and took them to Lower Keys Medical Center.

Their names have not been released.  

The jet was attached to a fighter squadron based at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia and was conducting a training mission.  

The crash is under investigation.
