Federal Bureau of Investigation officials are expecting a grilling from Congress Wednesday morning over its failure to act on a tip about alleged Parkland shooter, Nikolas Cruz.
In a hearing today, Senators will examine ways to boost security at schools and will also analyze the FBI's failure to act on a tip about Cruz being a "potential school shooter."
Opening the hearing, Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley introduced the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School Memorial Act.
Other Witnesses will include Florida Senators Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio, who have different opinions on curbing gun violence.
The Judiciary Committee will hear from a teacher at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the site of the recent massacre.
The father of one of the victims will also testify.
