Students Plan Nationwide, Wednesday Walkout For Gun Control

Students and teachers across the country will stage a classroom walk out Wednesday in a show of support for the 17 people killed in a Florida high school shooting.

Aside from showing love and support for the victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, the walkout will also advocate for stricter gun control laws.

EMPOWER, the group organizing the protest, says the walkout at 10 a.m. will last 17 minutes to honor each of the shooting victims.

Over 2,000 walkouts are planned across the country, according to the organization's website.
