Broward State Attorney To Seek Death Penalty Against Nikolas Cruz

The Broward State Attorney's Office will seek the death penalty against suspected Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooter Nikolas Cruz. 

Broward State Attorney Michael J. Satz on Tuesday formally announced the intent. Satz submitted the Notice of Intent to Seek Death with the Clerk of Courts. 

Cruz is charged with 17-counts of Premeditated Murder in the First-Degree and 17-counts of Attempted Murder in the First-Degree in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre on Feb. 14, 2018.
