Today Marks 11 Years Since Robert Levinson Went Missing In Iran

Friday marks 11 years since Coral Springs resident and former FBI agent Robert Levinson disappeared in Iran.

On Thursday afternoon, the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI held a ceremony in Tamarac marking the dark day.

While the Trump administration has promised to help bring Bob back, the last time we've seen Levinson alive was in 2011 when his family released a proof of live hostage video they received a year earlier.

In March of 2017, Levinson's family files a lawsuit against Iran with the US District Court in Washington, DC.

They filed the suit under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act "for injuries suffered by each of them as a result of Iran's unlawful acts of hostage taking, torture and other torts."
