Hard Rock International Will Lay Off 184 Employees

Hard times at Hard Rock....

With Hard Rock International moving its headquarters to South Florida, most of the staff at the current headquarters in Orlando are about to get pink slips.

The "Orlando Sentinel" reports the company has notified the state that it will be laying off 184 employees, the majority of its staff there, with the office's closing date set for next month.

The layoff notice said employees would be laid off starting April 27, and some might continue working until July 31.

The company operates cafes, hotels and casinos worldwide and is owned by the Seminole Tribe, which is based in Hollywood.

The Orlando office building, 6100 Old Park Lane in the MetroWest area, was listed for sale on Loopnet.com on Feb. 18, with 63,000 rentable square feet.
